For nervous patients · Slough & Iver
You won't be rushed, and you won't be judged
If the thought of the dentist makes your stomach turn, you're far from alone, and you're very welcome here. Sophia is known for her calm, gentle manner and for helping anxious patients feel safe again.
A gentler way
Take your time. There's no rush here.
Many of the people Sophia sees haven't been to a dentist in years, sometimes after a difficult experience. That's okay. We don't pick up where things went wrong; we start fresh, gently, and build trust visit by visit.
We go at your pace
Nothing happens until you're ready. A first visit can be just a chat and a look, no treatment, no pressure.
Everything explained first
Sophia talks you through each step before it happens, so there are no surprises and you stay in control.
An agreed stop signal
Raise your hand and we pause, no questions asked. You decide when to continue.
No judgement, ever
However long it's been, however your teeth are, you'll be met with kindness and a plan, not a lecture.
"She has a very gentle approach, which immediately puts you at ease, especially if you're someone who feels nervous about dental visits."
— Asma M
What to expect
Three small, gentle steps.
Get in touch, however suits you
A WhatsApp message or a form is often easier than a phone call. Tell Sophia as much or as little as you like, including that you're nervous.
A relaxed first visit
We meet, talk through your worries, and have a gentle look if you're comfortable. No treatment is done unless you want it to be.
Move forward at your pace
Together we agree small, manageable steps, building confidence visit by visit until the dentist feels ordinary again.
Gentle answers
You might be wondering…
I haven't been in years. Will I be judged?
Not at all. Many of the people Sophia sees haven't been in years, and that's completely okay. There's no lecture and no judgement, just a calm, fresh start at a pace that suits you.
What happens at a first visit if I'm nervous?
We keep it gentle. The first visit can simply be a chat and a look, nothing you haven't agreed to. Sophia explains everything before doing it, and you're always in control of when to pause or stop.
Can I bring someone with me?
Yes. Bringing a friend or family member for support is absolutely welcome if it helps you feel more comfortable.
What if I need a break during treatment?
We agree a simple stop signal before we begin, raise your hand and we pause, no questions asked. You set the pace throughout.
Whenever you're ready
Take the first small step today.
Message Sophia in confidence on WhatsApp, or use the form. Mention that you're nervous and she'll take extra care from the very first reply.
